As an organization, we are committed to being open, welcoming and inclusive, a place where artists, students, staff, board members and volunteers of all ethnicities, orientations and backgrounds can collaboratively learn, work and serve. As a community, both local and national, there are events that sadden our hearts, and as an organization of artists we embrace uncomfortable thoughts and conversations that have emerged from these events. These topics help us grow as artists and leaders, and inspire us to consider our actions. With that in mind, the Ballet Idaho board of directors and staff agree to work towards the following:
- We will consider diverse perspectives in the creation of programming. We will be mindful of different backgrounds as we collaborate with artists to support our work.

For Ballet Idaho Academy Director Jessica Sulikowski, this production has long been a defining part of the holiday season, both personally and professionally.
