Students wishing to enroll in the training program
are required to attend a placement class in order to determine their
appropriate class level. Consideration will be given to the age and
training background of each individual student. Every effort is made
to place each student in the class which will provide the most
benefit to him/her.
Class placement is solely the decision of the
Education Director and faculty.
At the end of each school year, continuing students
will receive class placement assignments for the coming year.
A student must demonstrate consistent mastery of all technical and
artistic aspects of his/her present class level in order to be moved up
to the next level. It is expected that most students will need to remain
for more than one year in certain levels.
All students enrolled in the Intermediate and Upper School ballet
program will prepare a final evaluation in order to assist the faculty
in determining their readiness to move to the next level of training.
Students in the Lower School will be assessed by their principal
instructor based on the work done in the classroom.
